Head Teacher Message 13: Friday 3rd July 2020
What a fabulous week! We have really enjoyed welcoming back so many of our pupils and chatting to you all as you have dropped off and collected.
The children have smiled, laughed, giggled, worked, played, chatted, listened and really enjoyed being back in school with a small group of friends and their teachers.
Thank you for being so supportive and following our ‘one way system of spots!’
I would like to remind you of the following:
• If your child is not well, or has any COVID-19 symptoms then you must not send them to school. Following LA guidance, if your child has a cough or temperature, they will immediately be sent home.
I know that you will all be starting to think about September. At this stage, I have no idea what that will ‘look like’. As soon as we have any clarity, I will be back in touch. What I can do is reassure you that whatever the return looks like, we will support you and your children and make it as calm and smooth as possible!
I will be emailing you all next week with details about which class teacher your child will be with next year. We are unable to provide you with information about any other child.
Over the next week, the information packs from Bedwas Juniors will be given out to the children. Those children not attending school will receive them in the post.
I have arranged with Mr Cook [Head Teacher of Bedwas Junior School] to organise a ‘Parent Zoom’ meeting for 5pm on Thursday 9th July. I will send this invite out via email next week. He will provide you with the information we have and it will an opportunity for you to ‘meet’ him before the end of term.
Next Friday 12th July at 9.30am we will be posting our ‘Leaver’s Assembly’ on the Facebook page. The children that are with us on that day will watch it in school. If you would like to post a comment or a short video message in the thread after watching that would be lovely!
By the end of term;
We will be sending home school Reports during the final week of term. For those of you that haven’t returned to school, these will be posted out to you.
We are hopeful that the Year Two photographs will also be in school by the end of term
If you would like additional activities or support of any kind, please email me at email@example.com and we can discuss what you would like / need. If we can’t help, we will find someone who can!!
Enjoy the weekend, stay safe,
With love, Vicky JD xx
